While many people choose to visit our area in the Summer, the Cinque Terre and the Poets' Gulf Area still has plenty to offer in the quieter months.
The summer still goes on and there are several occasion for enjoying the area at its best with food
and artisan fairs, music sessions and art exhibits all around.
Local food fairs take place all over the places and in September do not miss grape harvesting:

And, if the season is good with us, we can still go to the beach, swim and sunbathe.
A quite month for visiting the area, when the weather can still be warm and sunny, sometimes rainy, but school holiday crowds are long gone.
Some restaurants and hotels are closed in this period of time, but, private properties can be a valid alternative to solve the problem!
This area has lately become a very popular Christmas and New Year destination and is often
almost as busy as in the Summer months.
Visitors come to enjoy authentic Christmas celebrations
followed by our famous New Year's Eve party.
Do not miss visiting Manarola famous huge characters Nativity on the vineyards hills, an amazing
show when it is lit at night, that can also be seen by the sea.
La Spezia, main town of the area, always offer good shopping opportunities, interesting museums
and street live shows.
Late January and February find the area at its quietest, when it is possible to walk on a beach or
on the coastal path without encountering any crowds.
It's still possible to enjoy relatively mild
sunny days during this period, but many visitors also come in the hope of seeing a spectacular
storm with dramatic seascapes and huge winter skies.

noises of modern life, that's the place for you!
The days are getting longer and the weather is becoming warmer, but it is still possible to enjoy
the excitement of the odd storm.
When weather is nice we already go to the beach and enjoy the
first, warming sun of the year.
Beaches are not yet equipped, but it is so nice going to local stores
to by tasty and delicious focaccia along with other specialties and have a memorable picnic on the
beach!

flowers on the cliffs and longer evenings.

Water is mild already so

August is probably the busiest month, but the beauty of this area is that it's always possible to find
a quiet haven within walking distance of the main attractions.
