Casa Irma
is located in a quite village close to an hystorical castle, village
where, every year at the beginning of September, there is a cooking
contest. All the families of the village bring a dish prepared
according to the old recipes of mothers, grand mothers and local
tradition.
It is always a great succes.
Casa Irma is a lovely country house, originally a farm house of
a big estate no longer exiting.
On the front of the building there still is the coat of arm, in
stone, of the noble family who owned the place in the old days.
The house has been fully restored and offers all the modern comfort.
The owner took great care in maintaining the old atmosphere and
charm of the farmhouse- she put together a nice collection of decorating
objects like iron farming tools, terracotta pots and jugs, handwooven
fabrics that you can find all over the house-all the rooms are
decorated with coloured fabrics and old country pieces of furniture.The
atmosphere is warm and cosy. A large stone Tuscan fire place makes
you even warmer in the cold days.
In the house there is a great choice f decorating table ware as
the owner loves a lot to entertain and decorate the table accordin
to the colours of the season.
All the ground floor rooms open onto the outside garden. The space
outside is vast and very well kept, with abundance of flowers ,
fruits trees, olive treesand vineyards. It is easy to find a lovely
shodowy corner to relax. In the garden there is BBQ, wood oven,
and dinig area with big table.
For tennis lover there is a tennis court. Children have their equipped
play ground in a shadowy area.
Paved road and few meters of gravelled road leads you up to the
house.
The care taker of the ground is a good cook of typical country
tuscan cusine. On request he can prepare very good meals.
Attached to the house there is an other house-with complete separate
entrance- it belongs to an other owner who seldom goes there. it
is not rent between the two houses tehre is a high green bush,
that allow privacy. Ground floor
