La Casa Parlante is placed in the hearth of the fishermen's village of Cadi mare, a tiny village along the coastline that leads to more famous Portovenere. This ancient house, one of the oldest of the village, faces the little marina opened on the Poet's Gulf.
The simple façade hides a real treasure, a 300 years old house decorated as an ancient ship, everything is original, each handle, each door tells a story of the family, very well known for yacht designing and restoration of ancient sailing ships. The owner's family lived in this house for 8 generations.
The charming secret of Casa Parlante is in the owner's own philosophy that restored his family house in the same way he restored the world's most beautiful ships:
“It is "a fragment taken from the earth" it is a living creature as are the passengers who live on it, and right around them and for them it has to be restored, keeping the old charm without altering its own nature, but respecting the current demands of space, comfort and safety.”
The houseWe have access to the apartment through stone steps from the main street of the village. At the entrance we find a spacious living room with a wonderful fireplace, all decorated with marvelous frescos on the ceiling, that welcomes visitors as a ship main hall. Marine art pieces are all over and pictures as well. In this living room we have a big comfy table with 6 chairs. Close to it, a large kitchen with a big fridge and all the equipments a modern kitchen should have.
Connected to the dining room we have here the captain's room, perfect for relaxing, reading a book and enjoying the incredible atmosphere of the house (here an additional bed can be put for an additional guest).
Next door a romantic, cozy double bedroom, with a large wardrobe perfect even for a long term staying.
From the bedroom we have access to the bathroom with shower and sink.
In summer season the terrace is just perfect, with a large table for 6 seats and the view over the sea.

Can be a perfect location for a couple with infant, unfortunately this house is too “fragile” to allow kids under the age of 13
