LA CASCINA
is perched above the lovely town of Sarzana with a fantastic view
onto the Ligurian coast and the Apuane mountains.. Very centrally
located, it is the perfect place for enjoying and visiting both
Liguria with places like CinqueTerre, Portofino, Santa Margherita
and Tuscany with Lucca, Pisa, and Florence.
LA CASCINA is an independent cottage that has just been refurbished
in 2003 by the owner who is an interior decorator.She has created
a warm and cozy atmosphere throughout the home using traditional
terra cotta brick floors, carrara marble , and 17th century antique
furnishings.
Upon entering LA CASCINA is the living room with a working firplace, a monastery
style dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen. There is also a bathroom with
a shower on this floor. The second floor has a master bedroom with a wrought
iron canopied bed and a second bedroom that has two single beds along with a
spacious study. There is also a bathroom with a tub and a hand held shower.
LA CASCINA has central heating, hair dryers, satellite TV in each room, heated
towel racks, screens on all windows, a piano on the ground floor, and wire diffusion
hi-fi system in each room. There is also a dishwasher and a telephone along with
a swimming pool that is occasionally shared with the owners. Daily cleaning is
included and linens are changed twice a week. The owner also supplies bathroom
necessities (shampoo, soap, toothpaste, etc.)and most of the basics for breakfast.
A welcome dinner is also included on arrival day.
