La Cicala
is an absolutely charming farmhouse that dates back to the 1400s.
It has recently been restored with true love and care for every
single detail giving it a cozy home away from home feel . The owner
is an architect and has made this truly comfortable home for himself
and has now fortunately decided to share it with others.
La Cicala is located about 12 kms. outside of La Spezia and
just behind the hills of the Cinque Terre in Canevolivo, a fraction
of Beverino. It is very central for daytrips to Portofino, Lucca,
Florence, the marble quarries of Carrara, Pisa, and the entire
Ligurian coast (the autostrada is only a ten minute drive from
the villa).
Entering La Cicala private gates guest discover a beautiful outdoor
area very well manteinedand equipped
with beautiful garden furniture.
The scenery is completed by crystal clear swimming
pool, perfect for taking refreshment during the hot season and a wonderful frame
for giving sensational parties with friends and relatives.
The place, infact is also perfect wedding reception location.
The entire property is surrounded by tall hedges for complete privacy.
For children there is a small playground area and plenty of room
for running around in a safe and secure atmosphere.
In fron of the pool there is a covered outdoor dining area, perfect
for entrataining.
The property has a separate indoor dining area
with bar, focaccia oven, fireplace and a table for up to 10
people. In this room there are two antique Guzzi motorcycles
along with many other memorabilia.
This annex has also a small bathroom.
Entering La Cicala we find a fully equipped brand new country
kitchen to the right. The left there is the living room with
a beautiful fireplace.
On this floor there is also a very big
bathroom with a jacuzzi.
Upstairs there is a gameroom with a pool table, three bedrooms,
and two bathrooms.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed and
an ensuite bathroom with a hydra shower.
The second bedroom has
two twins and the third bedroom has one single bed.
From the
gameroom there is an additional open space loft that has two
single beds that can be put together upon request and a small
gym with weights.
The owners wife has a passion for french fabrics
and all of the bedrooms have beautiful handmade linens and quilts
with very interesting combinations of prints . Very unique!
Four hours of maid service three times a week are included in
the price of the property along with gardner and pool maintenence.
A private chef is available for special meals at the villa with
a very good choice of special wines.
Very close to the villa there is a place for horseback riding
and there are 3 mountain bikes at the villa that are available
for the guests for local touring.
Upon request all baby equipment
is available (crib, high chairs, strollers,etc).
